Having become one of the country's most noted Sports Medicine doctors and is El Paso's top Sports Medicine physician. He shares his knowledge with the El Paso community through a local television segment known as the "Jock Doc".

Dr. Alost believes in treating the work injuries much like his athletes. He evaluates, treats, and returns his athletes and "industrial athletes" back to the playing field as soon as possible. He has established care track pathways for the total hip and knee replacements in the hospital setting that provides quick patient recovery and a shorter hospital stay. This has been instrumental in cutting costs for the insurance providers, patient and hospital.
